Wide Participation of Citizens, Residents in Qatar Quran Contest

IQNA – The Holy Quran Competition of Qatar is witnessing wide participation from citizens and residents — males and females.

The compete in memorizing a selected part from the final five Juzes (sections) of the Holy Quran.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is hosting the contest in a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

The men’s tests are being held at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque during the evening period, beginning at 3:30pm after Asr prayer. Examinations for resident participants commenced on February 19 and conclude Wednesday.

Meanwhile, tests for resident girls continue at the Department of Da’wah headquarters.

Citizen youth (male and female) are scheduled to participate on February 25 and 26, 2026, in accordance with the approved timetable of the competition — an initiative regarded as a key educational milestone in nurturing a conscious Quranic generation firmly rooted in its religious identity.

The organizing committee affirmed that all logistical and technical preparations have been completed, with an electronic judging system adopted to ensure accuracy and transparency.

The arbitration panels are led by distinguished Qatari youth talents, while the women’s committees include qualified Qatari female judges proficient in memorization of the Holy Quran, underscoring the competition’s leading role in serving the Book of Allah and its people in the State of Qatar.
